After completing the laser engraving, we lightly wash the can with a special powder-coating cleaning solution, dry it, and then treat it with military-grade gun oil. Finally, we seal it with a ceramic coating similar to what you’d use to protect your car’s paint. During the engraving process, we expose the bare steel of the ammo can, so it’s essential to keep it as moisture-free as possible. Prolonged exposure to moisture can cause rust and degradation of the powder coat.
